This course is designed to equip staff with the skills necessary to deal with the situations that may arise when dealing with children and understand the safeguards required:

Evidence of Learning

All learners will be expected to participate in discussion and question & answer session. Evidence of learning is through discussion, written exercises and case study exercises.

The course is of one day duration with a minimum of 6 learners and a maximum of 16 learners attending. Instruction will be provided by 1 Basis Training qualified Instructor

Educare  Children’s Rights Programme, Safeguarding Children & Young People, NSPCC Programme Child Protection, Advanced Child Protection through Kidscape, Hampshire County Council Training the Inter-Agency Child Protection Trainers Course. City & Guilds Level 3 Caring for Children & Young People. Educare Adolescent Services Award in The Children Act & Appropriate Adult. City & Guilds Level 4 NVQ for Managers in Residential Child Care

A Booklet is issued to all attending the course along with a certificate of attendance.

Trainers facilitating the course follow the ICM code of practise and the all Wales NHS Passport The company has also been accorded ICM Quality Award Centre status (QAC Registration Number QAC2022) which means that all physical breakaway skills have been risk assessed and have fulfilled the criteria set out by the ICM Quality Award
