Two Day Weapon Disarming Training Course
Aim:
To instruct & equip participants in the art of disarming techniques from:
- Strangle holds (including any type of ligature, Blunt weapons (i.e. baseball bats, snooker cues)
- Sharp weapons (i.e. knifes, broken bottles).
Objectives:
By the end of the training session, participants should be able to:
- Learn to work as a team on two & three person disarming team (if required).
- The use of disarming techniques on your own.
- Street disarming techniques.
- Discuss the legal implications of the use of reasonable force.
- Understand the different ways of dealing with blunt and sharp weapons, and the safest way to disarm an assailant from these so that they no longer pose a threat.
- Learn the correct & safest way to defend against weapons when seated behind a desk, how to defend against an attack by an assailant in a bed situation, and when in a vehicle.
- Learn how to assess, & use your environment, thus working out what may be used to defend and assess the quickest possible escape route, to minimising confrontation.
- What to do in a hostage situation.
