What a year this has been! It’s safe to say not many of us could have predicted at the beginning of the year how different everything would be and that by Christmas we’d all be social distancing, wearing facemasks and getting used to seeing people on Zoom instead of in the flesh.
However, as a business, we have worked hard to adapt to become Covid secure and continue to protect our staff and trainees.
In fact, despite a short closure earlier in the year with the first lockdown, since July we’ve been back and have a steady flow of smaller sized courses booked – and the fact it is Christmas has not stopped people from getting their training booked in.
We’ve had a busy month and have found ourselves travelling up and down the country. We’ve been everywhere From Nottingham to Devon – and even enjoyed a short visit to London too. We’ve mostly found our work has been within care homes, where we have been delivering Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) training to staff members who are increasingly faced with high levels of violence and aggression due to Covid-19.
John Davies, said: “Our busy trainers are continuing to follow all Covid-safe guidance, using masks and appropriate PPE and following social distancing rules.
“Sadly, we will not even be able to offer our teams a Christmas party as a chance to wind down and relax before our sessions start again in the New Year – and we are already seeing the diary getting booked up fast.”
Hospital and nursing staff, as well as further care homes, have already booked in for next year for PMVA, plus we’ve had some early bookings for our training the trainer courses.
