IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019

Right now, Doha is playing host to the World Athletic Championships, which is seeing the world’s best and most elite athletes compete for glory. There is also Falah, the event’s mascot which is a sporty falcon dressed in the colours of the Qatar flag.  So, who will get gold in this year’s championship?

Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022

As the smallest nation ever to host the FIFA World Cup, Qatar is pulling out all of the stops to make the World Cup as memorable and as exciting as possible. Already, there is a significant change ahead for the Qatar World Cup as it will take place between the 21st November and 18th December as opposed to its traditional time during the summer months. This change in timing will mean the temperatures will be more comfortable for the footballers to play in.

New7Wonders Cities

As voted for by the public, Doha has recently been announced as one of the new seven wonder cities. They share this accolade with Kuala Lumpur, Beirut, Havana, Durban, La Paz and Vigan. It is not hard to see why Doha received this award; it has breath-taking architecture, stunning scenery, and so much to see and do.

Training

At Basis Training, our focus on Doha is not only on the sporting events and incredible sights, but also the training we are offering to a fantastic hospital client in the city. As Basis Training is world-renowned for personal safety training, we are creating a two-week-long programme to deliver in Doha for a team hospital staff members.

During our stay in Doha, we will be running bespoke PMVA training as well as Train the Trainer, which will enable team members to distribute training themselves.

“We have just finalised the training plan and will head to Doha in 2020 to deliver the training. We look forward to equipping the hospital health and safety training teams with the techniques, training methods, materials, course formats and advice to continue delivering training throughout the group in the years to come. The Basis Training team are excited about visiting Doha and seeing as many of the sights as possible while we’re there.” – John Davies, Director of Basis Training

As well as Doha, the Basis Training team can travel nationally and internationally to suit your training needs. If you’d like the team to travel to your organisation, get in touch today by emailing info@basistraining.co.uk
